DA-ABOUT
About Dukaan Atlas
A knowledge atlas of shops, stores and the routes between them.
1. What Dukaan Atlas is
Dukaan Atlas is a reading site about everyday commerce in India. Dukaan, in ordinary speech, points to a shop. Atlas points to a map. Together the name means a guide to how goods move from making, through transport, storage, wholesale and retail, toward a household.
The site explains systems. It does not operate trucks, warehouses, shops or payment services.
2. Who it is for
Readers who want a clear picture of Indian commercial routes: students of business operations, people comparing how industries move goods, and anyone curious about what happens before a product reaches a local counter.
It is written in English for an Indian context, using roles such as kirana, mandi, distributor and godown where those words are the plain ones.
3. How the routes are drawn
The commerce route trace is a teaching diagram. Station names are roles, not companies. If a real firm combines two roles, or inserts an extra cross-dock, the diagram is still only a starting map.
Where this site has no verified figure for time, cost, share or distance, it does not print one. Illustrative does not mean invented precision.
4. What the site refuses to be
Dukaan Atlas is not an investment adviser, broker, portfolio service or lender. It does not recommend securities, predict prices or invite anyone into a trading group.
It is not a newsroom with live market tickers, and it does not claim partnerships, licences or offices it does not have. No founder biography is published here because this site is not presenting a personal advisory practice.
5. Editorial habits
Notes are revised when the explanation is unclear, not on a pretend news cycle. Internal links point to other notes on this site. External claims are avoided when a general description will do.
Questions sent through the homepage form are checked in the browser only. The form does not deliver mail. That limit is described again in the privacy page.
